After Care Instructions

It is essential that you follow these instructions following your Permanent Makeup session.

Days 1 – 7:

• Gently wash the area each morning and night with water and a gentle unscented cleanser to remove dead skin, bacteria and debris.

• With clean fingertips, gently cleanse the area in a circular motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water, ensuring that all soap is rinsed away.

• To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, salicylic, or AHA)

• Outside of cleansing, DO NOT get the treatment area wet.

• Ice packs may be used to ease discomfort in the 3 days following your procedure. Do not use for more than 15 minutes at a time and be sure to get the skin wet during the process. We recommend covering your ice pack with a clean towel to prevent moisture transfer.

• Throughout the day, if the treatment area becomes too dry, use a cotton swab to apply a very thin layer of grape seed oil, almond oil, or Aquaphor Healing Ointment. Do NOT apply excessive amounts as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing.

• Do NOT use Vaseline, Antibiotic Creams, A&D ointment, or any products containing Petroleum.

• Do NOT pick at scabs.

The following must be avoided during all 1 – 14 days post procedure, as directed by your technician.

• Absolutely NO Sun exposure, sweating, or tanning 2 weeks prior to the procedure and for 4 weeks after the procedure.

• DO NOT have a tan/sunburn on your face prior to your procedure. The tan will exfoliate, taking color with it as it fades.

• Sweating. It is recommended that you DO NOT sweat for the first 20 days after the procedure. Sweat contains salt and can prematurely fade the treated area.
